NOTICE
Parish Footpaths & Bridleways
Notice is hereby given that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends to make an Order, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Act 1984, the effect of which will be in respect of footpaths in Sibthorpe, Screveton, Scarrington, Bingham, Wiverton, Tithby, Cropwell Bishop, Colston Bassett, Kinoulton and Hickling and bridleways in Cropwell Bishop, Colston Bassett and Kinoulton in the Borough of Rushcliffe.
No person shall proceed on the following footpaths:-
a) Cropwell Bishop Footpath No. 6, between OS grid reference points SK 6923 3593 and SK6988 3566 ( a distance of 708 metres)
b) Cropwell Bishop Footpath No.20, between OS grid reference points SK 6846 3527 and SK 6879 3454 ( a distance of 837 metres)
c) Cropwell Bishop Footpath No. 21, between OS grid reference points SK 6981 and 3626 and SK 6994 3588 ( a distance of 409 metres)
No person shall:-
a) Proceed on foot,
b) Cause any pedal cycle to proceed,
c) Cause any horse to proceed and
d) Cause any animal to proceed
In the following bridleways:-
a) Cropwell Bishop Bridleway No. 1, between OS grid reference points SK 6877 3549 and SK 6895 3461 ( a distance of 929 metres)
b) Cropwell Bishop Bridleway No. 12, between OS grid reference points SK 6935 3664 and SK 6994 3588 ( a distance of 1,096 metres)
It is intended that the prohibition will apply as follows:- From Monday 29th June until Saturday 31st October 2009 inclusive
The prohibitions shall apply to enable works to be carried out or in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the highways. It may also apply on subsequent days when it shall be necessary. If the works are not completed within 6 months, the Order may be extended. The Prohibitions are required to carry out improvement works to the overhead power lines and electricity pylons.
