A46 NEWARK AND WIDMERPOOL PUBLIC EXHIBITIONS

Plans detailing how the busy A46 between Newark and Widmerpool will be dualled go on show to the public in a series of exhibitions starting later this month.

Main construction work to dual the 17 - mile section of road will shortly start - three years early. When complete - in Spring 2012 rather than 2016 as previously planned - it will provide a new fast link between the A1 and M1.

The Highways Agency, its agents Jacobs, contractor Balfour Beatty and scheme designers Scott Wilson are staging a number of exhibitions where members of the project team will be on hand to answer any questions.

The exhibitions will will be held at the following venues:

Cotgrave Welfare, Woodview, Cotgrave, Nottinghamshire, NG12 3LA

Friday 26th June 3.30pm to 8.00pm

Sunday 28th June 10am - 4pm

Newark Town Hall, Market Place, Newark, NG24 1DU

Friday 10th July 2pm to 8pm

Saturday 11th July 10am to 4pm
